I just completed Brian Smith's V-Ray for Architectural Visualization. It was a wonderful class. Not only was the information comprehensive, Brian provided a context for applying the techniques in real world applications. This was invaluable and rare in computer training. As someone new to 3D Max and V-Ray, the class has saved me months of trail and error. I can't thank you enough.
I look forward to V-Ray Module 9 and more training programs from Vismasters. I have already registered for Brian's class, 'Fundamental 3ds Max 9 for Architectural Visualization'. Can't wait!

Dear all at VisMasters
I am a very happy graduate of the VRay training course that I completed last week. I was kinda unsure how it was going to work out for me seeing that I'm in the UK but it worked out just fine.
VRay is a remarkable program - it allows users to create such stunning and convincing lighting it's extraordinary. However it's also incredibly difficult to learn. Brian did a fantastic job in laying out the most important features to us who are involved in architectural illustration and in the videos and in the webinars, you see him navigate VRay and its plethora of roll downs and options. It now almost feels like home. For those of you who don't know who Brian is, he has written a fantastic book called 3DS Max8 & Architectural Visualisation and as far as I can tell, it's the first book to address using 3DS Max specifically for architectural illustration. I bought it and knew a little of what Brian did and his company 3DAS. So before the training began, I knew that it would be good stuff. Not only does Brian know VRay and boy, he knows it pretty much inside out for us architectural types, but he gave us an insight into how he does things at 3DAS - so you get an understanding of how he does things but more importantly why. I didn't get the chance to thank Brian for a really enjoyable, enlightening and educational training course so if you would pass the message on to him from me I would really appreciate it. In fact, I'll drop him a line at 3DAS too.

I have been doing architectural visualization for almost 10 years now, and in doing so, I've gone through dozens of training classes. This was the first on-line class I have ever taken. I will confess that going in, I was skeptical that a student could get the same quality of instruction on line as they could in person. As it turned out, I found that the combination of the video's and the on line instruction was very effective.

When I started this Architectural Visualization series I never had used Vray (though I knew it was a great tool to work with) and I had a few mediocre attempts at 3dmax. As a personal goal I set up to complete the series of classes with a finished rendering and by the end of the training I had created my best picture ever!
Thanks to Brian who led an intense but yet easy to follow class. Answering questions both during class as well as on the on-line forum with clarity and precision, reinforcing important segments of the videos and making every attendee feel at ease was a trend that Brian set from the get go and it really worked.
Thank you Brian for opening the door of knowledge!

I would recommend this training to anyone interested in learning to use Vray efficiently in their daily production work. I was very wary of taking an on-line course (this is my first) but Brian has proved himself to be a very knowledgeable instructor. I was actually amazed at how he managed to keep the classes moving (very fast paced) and interesting at the same time. The cost of this training will pay for itself hundreds of times when the knowledge I've learned is used in future 3D projects.

This has been an amazing journey. Brian is one of the greats, and he's actually shown process and workflow over just memorizing sub-divisions. I know work differently in V-Ray and Max, and hope there are further classes in the not-to-distant future. Kudos also for good tech support from your end.

| Very good class. I like Brian's teaching style. Very easy to listen to and understand. Covers a lot of material quickly. Well organized and prepared. I wish I could suggest something to improve. Maybe have an outline available on the forum with key points / settings in written format for reference? I'm so busy watching the class and understanding the process that I sometimes forgot to write things down. IMO the videos were well worth the price by themselves. The classes were icing on the cake.

| The only suggestion i have, is to possibly expand on the information in module 8, and reduce the information in module 7. I felt that the module 8 info was more important, and deserved a more indepth look. Other than that, i felt the classes were great, and thank you for everything!
